RMK Designs Fine Woodworking Available at ART2 Prescott, AZ

RMK Designs is honored to be part of a great art gallery in Prescott, Arizona. ART2 is located on the north side of the court house square. My wife Sarah and I have our work on display including fine wood cutting boards, boxes, furniture, and unique jewelry. We would like to invite you to come and visit us at the gallery!

The gallery has been open for just over 2 years at the current location. Formally named “That New Gallery” in the Prescott Gateway Mall the decision was made to move to the new location on the mezzanine level of the Capital Market building in November of 2016.

The owners Victoria Page, Mary Schulte, and Cory Burk have created a great vibrant atmosphere for the enjoyment of the artwork on display. Art2 has also become a destination for handmade works of art in all mediums. Victory is an amazing artist who works in glass jewelry, painting, and pottery, Mary does some beautiful eco print shirts and sculptures, and Cory does interesting “Steam Punk” metal work.

The gallery is full of many other artists as well. We have Jim Antonius who is a fantastic glass blower. Jim and I recently collaborated on a light project. I worked on the wood portion while Jim assembled and installed the touch dimmer and wired the light using vintage wire. The light is on display at the gallery now.

Jim Antonius and Richard Kerrell LightCindi and Joe Schaffer are also glass and metal artists. Cindi does the glass work while Joe creates the metal work to complete the piece of art. There are also some great photographers. Mike and Twila Coffey produce the most amazing photographs of unique and lesser traveled sites in Arizona. Pat Fiedler's stunning photos of the Grand Canyon on metal are a must see. Dale Maas, one of our newest artists, travels around the state and beyond photographing the wild mustangs of Arizona and California. These photos are always a treat to look at.

Some of the other talented artists we have the pleasure of being involved with are Sara and Larry Cornwell. They hand cut and color some amazing gourds. Larry has started basket illusions which are something you need to see in person to get a sense of the illusion they create. Drew Griffin and Sharron McFeely are a couple of our newer artist as well. Drew does sculpture work in clay and metal. The process he uses causes the metal to rust and color the clay. Sharon is a fiber artist that works in felt. She creates felted hats, scarves, and other felted items. You will find many unique items to decorate your home as well as handmade gifts that no one else offers.

I highly recommend when you visit Prescott Arizona stopping by the Art2 Gallery. There are many more mediums than what I could list here so you are sure to find what you are looking for. There is always an artist manning the gallery so stop by and find out what is new and exciting.  Check Art2 Facebook page for hours including special holiday hours, events and happenings. The gallery is located at 120 W. Gurley St., Prescott, AZ 86301.
